Find the Perfect Spot for Each Cat
Each Catdoku puzzle presents a colorful grid and a specific number of cats. Your mission is to fill the grid while adhering to all the rules:
- One cat per row: Each row must contain only one cat.
- One cat per column: No two cats can occupy the same column.
- One cat per color: Each colored zone must contain only one cat.
- No touching: Cats cannot be placed next to each other, not even diagonally.
Use X-Marks to Make the Board Easier to Read
The best way to solve Catdoku is to gradually eliminate impossible spots. When a cell definitely cannot hold a cat, mark it with an X and use the remaining possibilities to find the solution. Once a cat is placed, other cells in the same row, column, and color zone can be ruled out. Adjacent cells can also be marked with an X if placing a cat there would violate the "no touching" rule. As more X-marks appear, the correct positions become increasingly clear.
